How do I access E-Shikshaa home page

To access the E-Shikshaa home page,
     1. Enter the URL,
     2. The general home page is displayed with all features that are explained below.

As a General User

General User is one, who is neither a student nor an instructor. To register as an instructor or a student, he has to register from the homepage. The look and feel of general user home page is same as described in General Home Page.

How Do I Register?

If you are a New user, you can Click New Register from the home page of E-Shikshaa, to login either as a student or an Instructor Registered user, you can Enter the user name and password and get logged in to the web as a student or an instructor or an administrator and access the respective features available to that type of the user

What do I Understand by

Course Catalog
          On click of course catalog tab, overview of all the categories & the number of courses that are scheduled under the various categories are listed.On click of that category name the user can get to see the overview of all the courses by clicking on the course name for which he can register himmself after being a registered user to E-Shikshaa. An option to sort categories in alphabetical order is provided.

Assessment Catalog
          On click of assessment catalog, overview of all the assessments under the respective categories that has been created can be viewed .The user can subscribe to any of these assessments. Alphabetical search or select by alphabet is provided.

Category
          Category Menu consists of the list of all the various categories. You can view courses under each category onclick on any category.

Note: On mouse over of drop down icon, continued list of categories scrolls down. List of courses for the selected category is displayed. On click of any particular category, details with respect to the selected category are displayed.

Client Speak
          The feedback from different users are segregated and uploaded on the portal for the common users.

Pricing
          The Pricing tab contains the pricing details illustrating the various payment modes supported and their respective details.

Contact Us
          The user can obtain the company/ institution contact details for any further information. The user can also give his/her contact details for the company/ institution to contact them if necessary

How Do I
          This feature helps the users to get a brief overview of all the various tabs & navigations supported in our site & the procedure for different actions on the web. An option to view the procedures for the basic usage of the site is provided and this detailed navigation helps the users making our site more user friendly for all kinds of users.

About Us
          You can get an overview of our company/ institution and the various course/ assessment offerings by the portal are detailed. On click of more in Welcome to E-Shikshaa, "About Us" page is opened for more details.

Search
          The user can search for a particular word in the web portal. The information required from the list can be obtained. The user fetch or retrieve courses based on the various search conditions; the advanced search option filters the search contents of the portal and obtains the list of courses available. E.g. Type the word which needs to be searched on the portal. Any word which matches the typed word in the entire portal will be displayed.

Announcement
          The user can view the important announcements made by Administrators or the Instructors.

Assessment
           This feature helps the user to take assessments. This option is available only to subscribed users.

Welcome to E-Shikshaa
           This section gives the introduction of E-Shikshaa and on click of more option, more information of E-Shikshaa can be viewed.

Instructor Guide
          The general home page provides a guide for the instructors to know about the site also overview of the features provided for instructor. By clicking on More a new page opens to view more details related to Instructor.
Student Guide
          The general home page provides a guide for the students to know the site also overview of the features provided for student. By clicking on More a new page opens to view more details related to students.

Recently Scheduled Courses
           The screen gives a list of latest scheduled courses to intimate the users of the newly available courses. On click on More a new page opens to view the latest 5 new courses which are displayed in the order of the courses which starts sooner, name of the course, Instructor name, start date of the course price related to the course and to subscribe, options that are user friendly for the students are available.

Upcoming Courses
           A list of all the courses starting from current date (time to be considered), are displayed on the screen. On click on More a new page opens to view the latest 5 upcoming courses which are displayed in the order of the courses which starts sooner, name of the course, Instructor name, start date of the course price related to the course and to subscribe, options that are user friendly for the students are available.

Site Map
           The site map feature enables the user to navigate through the web portal and also describe each tab, to help the user understand the portal better. Whatever tabs are available (example assessment, announcement, course catalog, pricing etc) against user, along with their respective submenus are displayed based on the users (general, instructor, student, admin) who have logged in tree structure format. Based on the user who logged in, respective site map are displayed.
